Christmas Day
All Christmas Day we were with Curtis's family. We had an awesome time eating fantastic food, playing games, watching some TV, and relaxing. The kids are getting so big and Lily is getting cuter by the minute! Thanks for a wonderful Christmas everyone! It is so good to be home with family :-) pictures
Merry Christmas to me :-)
Sasha!!!
Chirstmas Eve, Kriss and Curtis went to pick up the little puppy Sasha in Roy for Mia and Hugo as their Christmas present. Sasha spend her first night in the Man's Cave at our house with Sheila. At 7am Sheila, Curtis, and I went over to their house and put Sasha under the tree before Mia and Hugo came out of their rooms. They were both excited but especially Mia. She kept saying "I got my very own puppy...I just don't know what to say!" It was so much fun to watch them. What a perfect Christmas present :-) pictures - video

Christmas Eve
What a wonder day it was hanging out with my family for Christmas Eve. We started off with brunch and then did the Nativity skit with the kids. I was the donkey ;-) Later we did a tribute to my Grandma and let her know how much we all love her and reminisced about memories we've had with her. It was a special time that we will all treasure since this is probably her last Christmas with us. I'm so happy to have such a wonderful family, Merry Christmas everyone! pictures

Hawks game with Nic
Sunday, Nic and her brother went with us to the Hawks game and that was fun. Mary and Jay were also at the game and sat with us for the second half and same with Dawn. The hawks were horrible to watch but I always have fun regardless. After the game we went to RR to finish the night off. Good times... pictures

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party
Amy and Stacey had their annual Christmas party where an ugly sweater was mandatory to enter the door. We had Rock Band competitions (my team won), played Left, Right, Center, and voted for the most creative sweater and ugliest sweater. Curtis came in second for ugliest...it was awesome! We had a blast and it was so good to see everyone. Merry Christmas :-) pictures

Radio City Rockettes
My Mom, Dad, and I took all the kids to the Radio City Rockettes at the 5th Avenue Theater downtown for their Christmas present. What a blast! All the kids loved it and so did I ;-) I later gave them each an ornament for their tree so each year they can remember it. The boys got the soldiers and the girls got the Rockettes. pictures

Christmas fun
Yesterday family and friends randomly came over to hang out and see the new couch. I ended up decorating our Christmas tree with Mia and Hugo and making dinner for everyone. What a fun day we had and now we are ready for our first Christmas in our new house! I still have to hang up lights outside...maybe? pictures

Dawn and I went again to see White Christmas but this year in Seattle! :-) So awesome! My mom and dad plus Candy, Kellen, and friends went to. It was the perfect way to start the Christmas holiday! Now I want to have some girls over to see the movie...Candy hasn't even seen it yet, I can't let that go on any longer.

Helpers
Last night Monique and the girls all had fun helping us clean in the new house. ;-) So far we have almost painted every inch of our new house and are in the process of cleaning and organizing. One things for sure is that I'm getting sick of painting.
We've been lucky to have such awesome friends and family who have come over numerous times to help us. I can't imagine doing it alone. We are so blessed! Thanks everyone!!!

Fall colors
Driving home from work one day I passed a gorgeous display of fall trees that were turning orange, red, brown. It was the most beautiful display I've even seen...these pictures don't even do it justice. pictures

Wedding hunting
Curtis and I are starting to look for the perfect camping place to have our wedding. We took the whole weekend and drove through the north cascade highway up to Winthrop. We checked out Lake Pearrygin and Sun Mountain Lodge. We loved the place but they had no available slots for next summer. We will continue to look more. I know our spot is out there somewhere! :-) pictures

May you rest in peace
We said goodbye to my Grammie today in Billings and put her to rest next to my Grandpa. It has been one of the hardest day's of my life. I had one of the best Grammie's in the world and I will miss her forever.
Later my mom took us around her hometown to show places where she, Grammie, and Grandpa lived, went to school, church, and more. It was fun to see all that.
This weekend has been healing for our family but also very tough. It will take me some time to grieve. pictures

As always, Curtis and I enjoyed our time at Lopez Island with his family. We brought his nieces again plus little Anthony and they all had a blast. We did lots of fishing, boating, went to Friday Harbor for ice cream, and lots of fire time. I was relaxed and rested by the time we left. Can't wait for next year!!! pictures

My dear sweet Grammie
This post is very hard to write. My Grammie passed away on July 27th (two days after her 88th birthday) and things have been very rough. I'm sad to see her go but I know she is in a better place and not in any pain anymore. We will have a funeral here in Seattle and then another one in Montana. I love my Grammie so much and will miss her EVERY day. Goodbye my sweet little Grammie...

Engagement Party
On Sunday our families put together an engagement party for Curtis and I. We had such a great time! Originally we were going to have it at the Cove but with rainy weather we ended up having it at the cabana in our condo complex. It worked out much better and the kids were still about to play outside by the pond. Jay and my dad barbecued up the meat and the mom's and sister's brought tuns of nummy food. My sweet Grammie picked out a heart basket that she filled with a variety of little candy...that is just like her :-) I missed not having her there with us but it was so thoughtful of her to think of the basket, you're the best Grammie!
After we ate Barbie had some fun games prepaired for the party. She split everyone into two group with Curtis and I in the center and asked questions about us: how we met, our first job, our first date, etc. It was fun to see who knew the right answers. Surprisingly no one got right our favorite deserts, apple pie and angle food cake. Then Curtis was given a book full of advice from the family that he had to read for everyone. My favorite one was from Sheila, "If Julie is really mad at you give her money to go buy a new pair of shoes" and I hope Curtis uses that advice! My activity was getting dressed blindfolded for our wedding night in preparation for if we have no power camping. That was pretty hilarious considering all the clothes were from the kids dress-up box! We both had fun with the games, thanks B-toner!
What a great day for the whole family to hang out. You all made it so memorable for Curtis and I really felt special. Thank you all so much for putting this together for us, it meant the world to us (especially me)! pictures

Happy 4th of July
This year Curtis and I went to Shannon, John, and Brittany Reyes house for the 4th. The weather was sunny and hot and there was tons of nummy food and barbecuing. We had a blast! The five of us have a great time together and it was fun to meet John's whole family. pictures

Crab pot
Curtis and I went out early Friday morning with Eric on his boat to check his crab pots and we had just 4 keepers. It was a gorgeous morning on the Puget Sound and it was nice to relax and enjoy the scenery. Before we docked the boat we saw a blue heron on the rocks sunning his wings (picture). That was pretty cool. After cleaning the crab Eric nicely let us have the crab and we called up Mary and Jay to see if they had time to do a crab pot. They did and thanks to Jay we had an awesome crab pot for dinner! What an enjoyable day :-)

Mt. Rainier
Tonight after seeing the new Transformer movie with Jody and Cary I caught a glimpse of Mt. Rainier on our way to dinner. This picture doesn't do it justice but it was spectacular. Right now Sheila is working there and gets to see it everyday...I'm so jealous! I love living in Washington with all it's beauty and fresh air ;-)

New car!
This weekend I bought a new car and I'm super excited! :-) 2006 A4 2.0T quattro with lots of bells and whistles. I still can't believe how many buttons it has inside. It's also an automatic so I keep looking for the clutch...might take me a bit to get used to that. Finally, my first nice car to drive! I feel spoiled!!! :-)
