My dear sweet Grammie
This post is very hard to write. My Grammie passed away on July 27th (two days after her 88th birthday) and things have been very rough. I'm sad to see her go but I know she is in a better place and not in any pain anymore. We will have a funeral here in Seattle and then another one in Montana. I love my Grammie so much and will miss her EVERY day. Goodbye my sweet little Grammie...

Engagement Party
On Sunday our families put together an engagement party for Curtis and I. We had such a great time! Originally we were going to have it at the Cove but with rainy weather we ended up having it at the cabana in our condo complex. It worked out much better and the kids were still about to play outside by the pond. Jay and my dad barbecued up the meat and the mom's and sister's brought tuns of nummy food. My sweet Grammie picked out a heart basket that she filled with a variety of little candy...that is just like her :-) I missed not having her there with us but it was so thoughtful of her to think of the basket, you're the best Grammie!
After we ate Barbie had some fun games prepaired for the party. She split everyone into two group with Curtis and I in the center and asked questions about us: how we met, our first job, our first date, etc. It was fun to see who knew the right answers. Surprisingly no one got right our favorite deserts, apple pie and angle food cake. Then Curtis was given a book full of advice from the family that he had to read for everyone. My favorite one was from Sheila, "If Julie is really mad at you give her money to go buy a new pair of shoes" and I hope Curtis uses that advice! My activity was getting dressed blindfolded for our wedding night in preparation for if we have no power camping. That was pretty hilarious considering all the clothes were from the kids dress-up box! We both had fun with the games, thanks B-toner!
What a great day for the whole family to hang out. You all made it so memorable for Curtis and I really felt special. Thank you all so much for putting this together for us, it meant the world to us (especially me)! pictures

Happy 4th of July
This year Curtis and I went to Shannon, John, and Brittany Reyes house for the 4th. The weather was sunny and hot and there was tons of nummy food and barbecuing. We had a blast! The five of us have a great time together and it was fun to meet John's whole family. pictures

Crab pot
Curtis and I went out early Friday morning with Eric on his boat to check his crab pots and we had just 4 keepers. It was a gorgeous morning on the Puget Sound and it was nice to relax and enjoy the scenery. Before we docked the boat we saw a blue heron on the rocks sunning his wings (picture). That was pretty cool. After cleaning the crab Eric nicely let us have the crab and we called up Mary and Jay to see if they had time to do a crab pot. They did and thanks to Jay we had an awesome crab pot for dinner! What an enjoyable day :-)
