Mother's Day at the Lake House

For Mother's Day I got spoiled with an amazing breakfast and new plants for the house. I can't wait to plant them. In the afternoon we went to the lake house for a few hours to let Zoey play in the water. It felt so good to get out of the house and still be safe.

Backyard Camper Getaway

We needed to feel like we were getting out of the house so today we spent part of a day in the camper. We had a good time having lunch and playing games. Hopefully we can actually take it somewhere soon. I don't think I've been out of the neighborhood (besides the grocery store) in months.

Fancy Wednesday...Curtis Birthday week

Since Curtis is working week on/week off Zoey and I decided to make the whole week special for his birthday and do something fun everyday. The fancy day was Zoey's idea and not sure Curtis enjoyed it but he was a good sport. We are having fun spoiling him :) Happy Birthday Curtis!

Fun week off with my girl!

This week was Spring Break for Zoey's school and they still honored it so I decided to take the week of and we a mommy/daughter week! We had a blast doing all sorts of things together like picnics, organizing, baking, walks, bike rides and movies. I just love hanging out with my little girl....well not so little anymore. lol

Happy Easter

This year we had Easter at home and did a Zoom call with Curtis's family instead. I'm missing our traditions so much but thankful that the weather is at least gorgeous. Easter just didn't feel like Easter this year...I'm sad :(

Happy Birthday Lily

The whole family did a car drive-by for Lily's birthday to sing her Happy Birthday and to tell her our favorite things about her. So sad we can't have a party for her but this is the next best thing! Covid-19 is ruining everything :( but we are all trying to make the best of things. Happy Birthday Lily we love you so much!

New wall!!! :)

For months now I've been trying to decide what to paint in our hallway. Sooooo, this is what I ended up with and I LOVE it :) It's very bold but that is me and now I smile when I go down my hallway everyday! Now I need to paint my office....hhhmmm, what to do in there?!?!?!?

Family Zoom

On Sunday's my family has been doing Zoom calls to talk about our best and worst moments of the week and it has been so healing for me during this time. I've had a hard time with my anxiety and this has been helping. It's also so good to see everyone's face and chat. I miss getting hugs from all of them! Love my family so much 💖

Neighborhood Bear Hunt

Our neighborhood is putting bears in our windows for the kids to walk/drive around the block to hunt for bears. What a cute idea and Zoey and I put out our bear along with the monkey....he had to be a part of the fun :) I love where we live!!!

Walks & Homeschooling

Life has been different with covid-19 around but my sister's and I are still taking walks just keeping 6 feet away! It's been so important for me to keep walking for my leg and my sanity! I'm so thankful I have my sister's so close!

Zoey has been enjoying sitting behind me and "working" with me. She likes to peek over while I have meeting and sometime I let her say HI. So far she has done a pretty good job of doing her work independently when she can. Fingers crossed it lasts as we found out school is closed for the rest of the school year :( She missed out on half of 1st grade and hopefully she won't miss any of 2nd grade!

Zoey has a bank account!

Zoey has worked so hard on saving her money and today we finally went and got her a bank account. Curtis then let her go and buy hot chocolate all by herself and she was elated! Our girl is growing up :)

School is closed!

We just found out that Inslee shut down schools in three county's starting today after school through April 24th! This coronavirus is still spreading and they are trying to stop it but this is going to be rough. Zoey is worried and not sure what is going to happen and I just want to feel better from my food poisoning.  I have a doc apt with a GI specialist next week and I really hope it doesn't get canceled! This next month is going to get interesting and I pray for my whole families health and that we all make it through this okay.

Fun in the snow

We did a last minute trip out to the snow today and even though I couldn't join them I had a relaxing time in the truck. I'm getting better at these spontaneous trips...Curtis's favorite thing to do :)
