Missing Brinks

I'm missing my buddy so much today that I wanted to put up some of my favorite pictures of him. It's been so hard not having him around and my routine is just not the same and I don't like it! I know losing a dog is inevitable and we knew it was coming but that doesn't make it any easier. I just want to kiss and hug his soft fuzzy head :( MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU BRINKS!!! pictures

Goodbye Brinks

After the game on Sunday when Curtis and I got home Brinks wasn't looking good. He tried to get up and collapsed and couldn't get up. We looked at each other and new it was time to put him down. Once he was comfortable we slept with him on the floor in the living room until the morning when Curtis called to have someone come. We got to say goodbye and it was so hard....he was a part of our family and it won't be the same without him!!! We love you so much Brinks!

Curtis dug an amazing 3 foot hole in the back yard to bury Brinks. We laid him to rest with his favorite toy skunky and collar on top. I didn't want to leave him and ended up spending most the day with him crying, this is so hard and I don't really feel like eating. I miss him so much!!!!

Happy 10th Birthday Brinks

Our sweet Brinks turned 10 today and we are so happy he is still here and kicking. His body is failing him but he is still the sweetest puppy ever. We love you so much Brinks!!!

Amy and Nate, Cameryn's parents have a family cabin on the beach and they invited to join them. We took our trailer and stayed in the backyard and had a blast! Cameryn and Zoey had a blast we enjoyed ourselves....it was a very relaxing weekend!

We love our trailer so much! Back at our favorite spot and having a blast! Zoey and Brinks are starting to enjoy trailer life...maybe we can just stay here all month! lol

MORE SNOW!!!

On Friday we got another huge snow storm and it hasn't stopped for the last 6 days! We now have almost 2 feet of snow and have been having a blast and school has been closed ALL week. Expect for having to make up school days this have been the most fun week EVER!!! I just love snow and all the joy it brings. pictures

I think we found our go-to camping spot! It is only 35min from the house and a pretty well maintained spot. In the summer they have a pool plus a nice bathroom area. I'm in love with this place and I hope we got back again soon! pictures

First trailer trip

Since we got home a day early we decide we needed to take the trailer out for Labor Day. We were all exhausted but didn't want to pass a chance to take it out. After call all morning Curtis finally found a spot in Cle Elum and we were off! I'm so going to love this camper....so easy. pictures

By by Christmas tree

Curtis decided to burn the tree outside since snow covered the ground and it was a bit scary seeing how fast it went up! Now I know how house fires start so easily from Christmas trees! Watch the video

Seaside/Astoria Family Vacation

This weekend Kara's kids and Zoey got to meet each other for the first time and LOVED each other! Kara and I have been friends since 98 and I always dreamed about our kids being friends. It has been hard being so far away but it was such a treat to all hang out for the weekend. We all met at Seaside and played at the beach most of the time. I can never get enough time with my Kara. Favorite memory was when a group of seagulls flew overhead and Zoey called them turkeys, Jade called them ducks and Alex called them pigeons! Kids are the best :) Saying goodbye was hard as usual.....I HATE IT.....but am thankful for the time we got together.

We then headed to Astoria to say hi to Jrae and then camped at the nearby KOA. It was like having a second vacation with just our little family and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Curtis and I played lots of ping-pong, Zoey learned how to swim and we all enjoyed the free pancake breakfast. This place is perfect for kids/dogs and we definitely want to come again! SNOW!!!!

I'm so excited we got snow again and this time we got a TON! Even the wildlife came out to play...Brinks was going crazy! We went to the park to sled down the hill and it was packed with people already. A few guys had been building an igloo since 4am and it was pretty cool. Zoey and I went inside to explore but she had more fun building a little snowman of her own. That night I had a blast making a snowman family. Neither Curtis or Zoey wanted to help so I got to do it all by myself and LOVED it! I even got carried away with sculpting them with the screwdriver. Too much fun! So excited we got all this snow and it hope it lasts a few days before it melts :) pictures

Soft beds

Since Zoey has been playing "nap room" Brinks is loving it. She will lay down her dolls with soft blankets and then leaves them to go play with something else. Brink will always come and lay on them after she is gone and doesn't mind the bumps of the dolls. It cracks me up, what he will do for a soft bed!!!

Mr. Snappy

We got to watch the class pet Mr Snappy for the Christmas break and Zoey was so proud to have him at our house. Best part for us was that it counted for all of our service hours, YIPPY!!!! :)

Camping at Andrea's

For Labor Day we went to Andrea and Jason house on Panther Lake to camp in their back yard. Last minute some of Curtis's family came with us and we had amazing weather except the last day where we ended up moving our mats into the garage because the rain was coming down sideways. We were glad we moved otherwise I bet we wouldn't have gotten any sleep. 

It was a relaxing weekend with spotlights being the jet ski and Zoey caught her first fish (I think). I managed to workout the entire time and I'm very proud of myself. Can't miss a day on my 28 day challenge :) pictures
