Tubing at Snoqualmie

Zoey got invited to the neighbors (Anna & David) birthday party at Snoqualmie Pass. They got us enter tubing tickets and what a blast that was. Such a good idea for a winter birthday party! Curtis and I had just as much fun as Zoey did :) pictures

Biking on a Holiday

Zoey, Molly and I all went biking down the Cedar River trail since it wasn't raining. We started off strong but Zoey got tired towards the end. I think she is still weak from being sick and it might've been a bit much for her but she did a wonderful job of pushing through and finishing! Nice work Zozo! xoxo pictures

Molly took Zoey to pottery painting and she loved. It was a bit hard for her that she couldn't take it with her but once she gets it back she is going to love it! Thanks Molly :)

Off to the docs

I took Zoey to the docs since she had a fever of 104 all day. They said if they catch the flu in time there was something they could give her so off we went. She tested positive for the flu A and prescribed a treatment but EVERY pharmacy in Renton/Issaquah was out. I guess everyone has the flu right now! CRAZY!

The flu

So first thing that happens this year is that I get sick with the flu....and it's a bad one! Have had the flu for 5 days now and gave it to Zoey and now Curtis has it. So much for wanting a healthy 2018 but maybe this will be it for the year and we are getting it out of the way....fingers crossed!!!!!

Birthday celebration at school

Every year at Zoey's school they do a birthday celebration for each kid. We bring a picture and fun facts about Zoey for each year and a snack for all the kids. Her teacher Emily talks about Zoey's each year and then sings a song and lights a candle. It's a pretty cute tradition. Zoey was shy this year and it took a bit for her to want to show her pictures but after a few years she wanted to show her pictures. I was proud of her for getting up the courage. Happy New Years - GO HAWKS!!!

Curtis and I went to the game and then met Andrea and Jason after the game and hung out all night. We walked the streets of Pioneer Square and ended up mostly at Cowgirls. Both Andrea and I rode the bull....that was exciting. I think I'm too old for that but it was still fun. Then we had a hotel room in Georgetown (total dive) and passed out. What a fun New Years and we made it past midnight...we haven't done that in awhile. pictures and video

In the morning we slowly got up and had breakfast at the Hudson and then made our way home. We were both excited to see Zoey. I only have two days left for my vacation and want to make the most of it!

5th Birthday party

Both our family's and some friends came over to help Zoey celebrate her birthday. It was a success and Zoey had a blast. We decorated sugar cookies, sang happy birthday, played outside and the cracking of the egg was a highlight! pictures

Now I can finally relax. It has been a mad dash for Christmas and her birthday, now all I have left is New Years :)

Happy Birthday Zoey!

After spending the entire day in her PJ's we did a special dinner and cupcake for her birthday since tomorrow is the party. My little girl is five years old.....crazy!!!! Happy Birthday Zoey, we love you so much!

Decorating Zoey's room

It was a mad dash with Lisa and I to get Zoey's room decorated for her birthday. It took us about 5 hours and I was up until 2am putting the finishing touches on but it was totally worth it! Zoey is spending the night in our room and can't see her bedroom till morning and she is super excited about it. I am too!!! Now that it is finished I can't wait for her to see it :) SO tired!!!

By by Christmas tree

Curtis decided to burn the tree outside since snow covered the ground and it was a bit scary seeing how fast it went up! Now I know how house fires start so easily from Christmas trees! Watch the video

Christmas

In the morning though before we left for Christmas we had to go play in the snow...after stocking of course. Sheila and Zoey built a snowman and then we took the Jeep out for some donuts and then sledding at the park. Couldn't ask for a better Christmas morning. Garen joined us this year and that was pretty cool. Hopefully he can come again. Now off to the Rankin's house. 

Both Jrae and Jeah come home for the holiday's and it was so much fun to see them. Jeah is now engaged so that's exciting! Today was spent hanging out eating, opening gifts and playing games. What a fun and relaxing day. pictures

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at the Lake House and what an adventure that turned out to be. Curtis made a Prime Rib and we all cooked things to go along with it. After we ate Mike and I took a spin on the lake in the row boat while Lily, Mia and Zoey were on the paddle boat...that didn't last long. While we were out there it started to snow and it never stopped. By the time we were ready to leave we almost didn't make it out and some of us got stuck. I can't believe it snowed on Christmas! pictures

Playdate with Amelia & Elsa

We went to the Chang's for a playdayte and there house was amazing, right on the water! I'm so excited Zoey has a friend that we enjoy getting together. Hope we stay friends as time goes on.

Gingerbread houses - Teddy bear room - Farris Wheel

The Sweens and us went downtown for a fun filled day. We started at the Gingerbread houses which were pretty cool and it was fun to see what the kids came up with. Then we headed over to the Teddy bear room and wasn't that impressed but now I know what people are talking about. Then over to the Farris Wheel and it was perfect that Taylor Smith was the song that played. After we finished our festivities I took them all up to the top of Columbia Tower and then we went to have lunch at McD's in Issaquah. Everyone had such a fun time I don't think we wanted to end. Zoey and I dropped them off and had a lazy afternoon together. I wish I could always be on vacation like this!!! pictures
