Goodbye Grandma

My Grandma just passed away on July 27th at 1pm. It was a sad yet peaceful day for all of us. She had been struggling with cancer for a very long time and was ready to go be with her husband again. She lived a long and wonderful life to 94 and has left a great legacy. I'm going to miss her very much! I love you Grandma.

Cake Decorating - Class 2

Oh man, Candy and I had so much fun decorating our cakes this week. Most the class did clowns but we both did frogs instead. I might try and practice a clown later this week since I have lots of frosting leftover. How cute are the three little fat frog/toads! :-) YAH!!!!

Cake Decorating - Class 1

So my dearest friend Candy talked me into taking a cake decorating class with her and yesterday was my first class. I had to make the cake and frosting the night before and bring it with me plus all the supplies. It was a blast! My first cake wasn't too bad but I'm not so good at the trimming...need to practice for sure. I'm already starting to think about how I should decorate the next cake? I'm thinking a hawks cake is in order at some point ;-) I might need to get a bit better though. Fun times with Candy and frosting!!!

I brought the cake to work today and everyone was impressed and can't wait to see a new cake every week and eat it too!

Happy Birthday Mom and Dad

After the kids left Curtis and I picked up the house and got food ready to have my Mom and Dad over for dinner. Yesterday was my Mommies birthday and I still hadn't celebrated my Dad's birthday in October. So we did a joint birthday celebration for the both of them and we had a blast! We had hot dipping bread, salsa & guacamole dip, a huge salad with a ton of veggies, homemade croutons, squash, baked potatoes, noodles, huge fruit plate, and apple pies. We ate so much we barely had room for the desserts. Happy Birthday Mom and Dad, I love you both so much and feel extremely lucky to have such amazing parents!!!

Mia and Hugo sleepover

For a Christmas present Curtis and I gave B&K a night away in the snow. So all day Saturday and part of Sunday we had Mia and Hugo stay with us. We took them to the Seattle Aquarium, did art projects in the art room, played xbox roller ball, played outside, watched Cars, and had nummy kid food. We had a blast with them! They are getting so big and so much fun to be with. But I have to say that being "parents" for almost two days was so exhausting that when B&K came to pick them up we were ready. I love being an auntie!!!! :-) pictures

Welcome home Erik

Friday night we hosted our first little party in our new house for our friend Erik. He finished his training in New Mexico and was home for a week before he moves to Arizona to work as border patrol. We are all going to miss him. Everyone loved the house and we had a fun night playing games and cards. We got Jason hooked on our favorite board game The Settlers of Catan and he has already ordered it online. Thanks everyone for coming over! pictures

Crab Pot with Curtis

Finally Curtis and I went to the Crab Pot in Bellevue after all these years of wanting to go. I have to admit the food was good but not as good as Jay's crab pot. :-)

Seahawks with Dad

I got to take my Dad to the Seahawk's since Curtis got called into work. We sat with Claudia and Mario in the 100's and they were great seats. I can't believe the season is already over. I will miss Seahawk Sunday's. pictures

Happy New Year

This year Curtis and I plus Sheila went to a Murder Mystery Costume Party at Candy and Kellen's. What a blast we had! I was a Southern Belle named "Minnie Money" and Curtis was a Poker Player named "Gambling Jack". I didn't guess the murderer right and it ended up being my "dad" :-) Happy New Year everyone! :-) pictures
