Happy 4th birthday Zoey

Zoey's birthday was another success this year. We had three parties, one with my family at Lisa's house, with Curtis's family at red Robin and her friend birthday party the following day. It was exhausting for me but Zoey felt like a little princess so it was a success in my eyes. All of the neighbor kids came plus one of Zoey's little friends from school, Amelia. pictures

Two hours before the party I bumped my head on the shelf in the bathroom and gave myself a concussion so that made the party a little bit harder for me. Now that all the festivities are over with I'm ready to relax and do nothing, I need a break.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was a bit different this year for us as we were all sick and my family Christmas was cancelled. For Christmas Eve we hung out at home and had Pemmy over to spend the night and do stocking. We had Christmas at Monique's and had a wonderful time, the gift exchange was good this year. Zoey had so much fun this year with Christmas. I think her favorite part was all the decorations and tree in her room. She would keep taking things from the living room and put them in her room. It was super cute that I didn't have the heart to move them back and by the end of Christmas her shelves were full :) Sickness and all it was a wonderful Christmas and I love my family!

Proud daughter

My dad is almost 70 years old and he is still hanging off the sides of buildings. Today he was washing the window at the Library downtown right next to work so I got to go see him. I'm so proud of him for working so hard and creating a business that is well know for being "quality work" and "integrity". I have so much to aspire to be and I will always look up to you! Love you so much Daddy!

Tree hunting

Another successful day of tree hunting! Found an awesome tree and Zoey did great in the snow. I don't think it's her thing though, haven't quite figured out why yet. Making a snowman was really hard because the snow was super dry so I'm hoping we get some snow at home this year so we can make another one. It turned out super cute though, right?!?! :) pictures

Goodbye Jen

Today was a really hard day for me. My friend Jen of 10 years got laid off and today was her last day. It was all I could do to be there and not either be bad or cry. I'm going to miss her like crazy but I've made a friend for life and so thankful for that! Miss you already Jen and love you to pieces!!! xoxoxo

Happy Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving this year with Curtis's family and the food was nummy as always. Last minute I made a craft for Lily and Zoey and they had fun. I want to try and do that more ahead of time so it's better. Yahtzee ended our night with Curtis winning...whatever! ;) Happy Thanksgiving! pictures

Hawks with Jen

I took Jen to the game today for a few reasons and one of them was because she got laid off (a bunch of bs) and I wanted to bring a little joy to her weekend. I think it worked since I know we had a good time!

School picture day

When I dropped Zoey off at school today she wanted me to take her picture because I needed a picture too for picture day she said. It was the cutest thing and when she posed for the picture she wouldn't open her eyes, this was how she wanted it! She cracks me up and I love it :)

Disney on Ice

Karissa and I took the girls to Disney on Ice and it was a hit. They both, of course, wore their Elsa dresses and sang Let it Go the whole time. The production did a great job with the show with picking a good variety of Disney movies. I would totally go again next year. pictures

Happy Halloween

Since Frozen is a daily thing in our house I'm not surprised that Zoey wanted to be Elsa and me Anna. She talked her daddy into being Olaf and it was a short appearance but well worth it and it made Zoey feel like the most special girl in the world. We tricker treated just down the street and Zoey was done. She wasn't really into going to door to door knocking on them. I think since her bag was full she was done. It was a successful night though, even with the sprinkling rain! pictures

First hair cut

Took my little cutie in for her first haircut today at the U Village where everything was tailored just for kids. First, she got her hair washed and then they sat her in a "car" seat with toys to play with. After that she got an Elsa braid and fairy dust sparkles all over. It was the cutest and Zoey really enjoyed it. The hair salon was in a toy store so of course we got a toy and cute umbrella she say. What a fun day! pictures

Pumpkin Patch - Maris Farms

We had a wonderful time at the Maris Farms pumpkin patch with the Herrera's today! This place was out of control, they had EVERYTHING! Pig races, duck races, corn maze, wagon rides, play gym, corn pit, pulley rides, fair style slides, monster truck rides, baby animals and more. Zoey had a blast and so did I...we definitely need to go again next year :) pictures

10th Annual Away Seahawks Game

Another successful year with the core-4 (Candy, Molly, Kara and I) in LA. We rented a house that had a pool and hot tub and spent all our nights there, it was perfect. We played the LA Rams and lost again this year which is disappointing. Sadly we are getting used to it...LAME

On Monday we went to Universal Studio's (free tickets from work) where I did most of the rides and skipped out on the Mummy ride...wasn't happening! We got chosen to do the sound effects for the show and that was fun. Got my picture with Lucy and Dora.

I just love my ladies and we had a wonderful weekend and they all worked out with me and helped me with my bingo squares. Our calves were killing us the next day from the three minute wall sit! I already can't wait for next years girls trip! ;) GO HAWKS!!!! pictures

Fun at Zorozu's

David invited us over for a party at his house with a band and amazing food. Amy's girls were there and Zoey and them had a blast jump off the dock! I was so proud of her strength and determination to keep up even though she doesn't know how to swim yet. She is going to go far in life, I know it! We had such a fun night! pictures

Camping at Andrea's

For Labor Day we went to Andrea and Jason house on Panther Lake to camp in their back yard. Last minute some of Curtis's family came with us and we had amazing weather except the last day where we ended up moving our mats into the garage because the rain was coming down sideways. We were glad we moved otherwise I bet we wouldn't have gotten any sleep.

It was a relaxing weekend with spotlights being the jet ski and Zoey caught her first fish (I think). I managed to workout the entire time and I'm very proud of myself. Can't miss a day on my 28 day challenge :) pictures

Game with Angie

Angie and I went to a pre-season game together and we really enjoyed hanging out. At halftime we went to the suite section where her dad worked and it was so fun seeing him again. It was almost like no time had passed. On our way back to our seats I got to get a picture with the Hawk :) Go Hawks!!!

20th Reunion

Tonight was my 20th reunion and so many people from our class showed up. I got to reunite with Angie and that made me so happy since I wasn't able to find her online! We exchanged numbers and I hope we get together soon! The night together was fun and everyone is basically the same as in highschool. The only person I didn't recognize was Peter, everyone else looked the same. Out of the married couples, the guys have double the children and the average was 3 for all of us. Peter has the most with 9 kids, CRAZY!!! I feel so lucky to have such a great group of friends from highschool that we still enjoy getting together. Thanks SCS for fostering amazing people!
