Poor sick Zoey

Last night, Zoey got super sick. At first, I thought it was just too much chocolate, but then I realized she had the stomach flu. She puked up all the chocolate she had and now she is saying that she never wants chocolate ever again. Poor girl.

We still have a ton of snow and it hasn’t melted away yet which makes me happy. We have Monty here right now and the two of them are having a blast in the snow but making my house more of a dirty mess but it’s all good. Not like we get snow a lot. I’m enjoying lazy dogs and a quiet kid. It’s been a good year ❤️

Happy 9th birthday Zoey

This year’s theme was a black and white party. We had a chocolate fondue, a selfie station, piñata, and large dice games. The fondue was a total hit, and all the kids dipped all sorts of food into the chocolate. We went through so much chocolate.  What a fun birthday party this year! Happy birthday, my sweet girl.

Fun in the snow

Today was a blast! This morning Shawn covered his driveway with ice and all the girls had fun sliding down it all day. Then the girls came over and Curtis set the Christmas tree on fire and it was a big one this year! It’s amazing to me how quick the tree starts to burn. Now I know why trees that start on fire in homes completely burn the house down.

So much snow!!!

We woke up this morning with a ton of snow! I would say 8 to 10 inches but I’m probably exaggerating. 😂 We all got dressed and went outside to play, while Curtis and Ella‘s dad got the dirt bikes and started pulling the kids up and down the street. What a fun day and I love that we have so much snow!

Merry Christmas

This year we hosted Christmas at our house and it was an extra exciting one because it is starting to snow a little bit. I don’t remember the last time we had a white Christmas and while it wasn’t necessarily light, there was a little bit of snow and covered the top of little truckers head. 

The day was relaxing and all the girls got to hang out and do makeup, gingerbread houses, and play. Food was good, of course and I can’t believe the year is almost over. Now I need to scram and get rid of Christmas and start getting ready for Zoey’s birthday. I can’t believe she’s going to be nine! 

Christmas Eve

This Christmas was a really fun Christmas! Curtis made an amazing prime rib and dinner was on point! Afterwards the kids got to make gingerbread houses and we also started a puzzle. Had a great day being with family. Merry Christmas!

New bedroom

We finally got Zoey’s room all put together! She is so excited and feels so spoiled….big girl now. Time is flying by and I can’t believe how big she is getting. Love my little girl so much and thank you Granty for all your help in getting the room ready.

Krush fun in Arizona

 

This trip was an extra special trip since Erik planned an adventure some day for us. First, he took us to this crazy petting farm that we got to feed animals and pet sheep. Then he took us horseback riding out in the desert, the whole thing was a total surprise and we had a blast! I’m glad he told us that we needed more western style gear and we bought jeans and cowboy boots the day before. They were a lifesaver! Thanks Erik for an amazing trip and we can’t wait to come again. Thanksgiving day

 

Our day started off a bit rough with Trucker getting into the garbage last night. He left quite a mess for us to pick up this morning and I was not happy. We are always running late to Thanksgiving, but we finally made it there and had a good time with Curtis‘s family. Curtis had a blast with Zoey and Camdyn flipping them around and having lots of giggles. Another good Thanksgiving day in the books.

Late birthday for Hugo

It was a better late than never birthday party for Hugo this year. Things have been crazy busy and we were finally able to make it happen. Happy birthday, Hugo, we love you so much!

Dance choreographer

It is incredible to me how coordinated and creative my daughter is in making up dance routines. She does them all the time and loves to get her friends to do them with her. I wonder if one day she will be a choreographer or a dancer herself.

Halloween

Thankfully, I had already decorated for Halloween and Zoey‘s outfit was ready to go before I got sick! I was sad I didn’t get to take her around for all the festivities, but she still had a good Halloween. I’m totally digging the blue hair!!!

Covid time

Well, it happened, I got Covid from Zoey…..which I pretty much knew was going to happen. I am ready to take it on, even though I’m pretty stressed out as you can tell by all of my remedies. Hopefully, it will pass quickly 🙏

Missed the game

I was supposed to take Evan to the football game but Zoey got Covid so Hugo was able to go with them instead and they had a really good time. I missed being able to be there with him, but I will make it happen another time. Don’t I have handsome nephews? Go HAWKS!!!

BFF’s

These girls are inseparable and always wanting to wear the same clothes. I have a feeling these two girls are going to be friends forever. I so thankful we have Anna in our lives and her family!

After an uncomfortable surgery yesterday and not feeling the best, my daughter always knows how to make me smile! Love that girl to pieces 😍

Not melanoma

I got called back to the doctors from a suspicious mole. What they originally took off wasn’t melanoma, but it had suspicious cells that they wanted to take more out just to be safe. I’m glad they are doing what they need to, but this is getting really old. Thankful though it wasn’t melanoma!!!

Hunting for pumpkins

Today we had fun at the pumpkin patch with Amy, Camryn and the twins. Even though the pumpkins are way more expensive at the patch, it’s always more fun to go do that than get them at the grocery store. Zoey’s probably not gonna want to do this much longer so I’m enjoying it while it lasts! 

Liberty drill camp

Zoey participated in a drill camp with liberty high school girls. They basically learned a dance in a few hours and then performed it at the high school on junior night before the football game. They are so cute! 😍

Gymnastics

Zoey took a gymnastics class for a week camp and had a blast. I’m not sure if gymnastics is her thing yet but she had fun. 

Special visitor

My dear friend, Lauren came to visit me today. It was so good to see her and I’ve missed her since she’s moved away, but she is enjoying Montana and wants me to come visit her. Hopefully one of these days I can make it out there. 

New slide

Well, we did it! We bought a slide and installed it tonight and I think Zoey loves it. I hope her and her friends get a lot of use out of this because she ultimately wanted a trampoline but I said no, we’ll get you a slide instead.

Annual girls away Hawks game

Another successful annual girls trip!!! This year was in Indianapolis to watch the Colts play the Seahawks. Candy and I got in a day early, to go to Indianapolis 500 and watch a Porsche race. It was one of the coolest things we had ever seen. The amount of noise and wind and adrenaline when those cars came around almost brought tears to my eyes. It was so cool!!!

Game day was amazing as always and me and the girls had a blast. It was so good to have Jane and Kara there as I miss them so much. 

Jane and Kara left early that next day and Candy and I had time to hit the zoo and get amazing pizza before heading home ourselves. I just love these girls trips, I always feel so fulfilled after. I’m already looking forward to next year!!! 😍🏈💙💚 GO HAWKS!!!!!!!
