Starting third grade

Zoey got to go back to school today and start third grade with masks on. I’m so glad that she got to go back to school but this whole thing will be interesting to see how it goes. I can’t imagine kids keeping their masks on all day but I’m just happy we are somewhat getting back to normal. 

Family hike

The whole family went on a hike today near Cle Elum and it was a super fun hike. When we got to the lake up top, we walked around and some of the guys went jumping off. Curtis was crazy and got on the stump and jumped out into the lake, and all of us were super nervous. I love being out in nature with family, it was a good day.

Kellen’s 50th

Candy always throws the best parties and she went over and beyond for her husband‘s 50th. Kellen is one lucky guy! 

Mariners game

We went to the Mariners game tonight and Zoey made a friend and they were absolutely hilarious! She sat with us most of the night and it was actually kinda nice because then Curtis and I could just hang out while those two entertained each other. Now I see why people have two lol

Another rainbow

After Hawaii, it completely stripped out my fun rainbow hair and I was so disappointed. In hindsight, I should’ve gotten it done after my trip knowing I’d be in pools and swimming in the ocean and all of that but oh well. Now I have a new rainbow and I like this one just as much! 

Birthday 2 for Zoey

Gigi promised the Wooldridge girls that she would throw a birthday party for Zoey at the lake house so here we are and what a crazy day it’s been. The kids had a blast playing in the water and having cake. I also brought our slip and slide down, even though it didn’t work too well they still had fun. Then Zoey ended up getting a sliver on the dock and it was quite an ordeal. It took quite a few of us to hold her down and my dad, myself, and my mom all worked on getting the sliver out. That girl doesn’t have much of a pain tolerance. All said and done…it was a fun birthday party for Zoey and all the girls had a blast. Thanks Gigi!!!

Hawaii

Seriously! What didn’t we do this Hawaii trip? Curtis and I decided that we wanted to have a little bit of a family time before the big family trip so we went 4 days earlier and spent time just the three of us. We did lots of beach time and got to just hang out and relax and it was the best decision to do that. We also took a boat to a more private island, which was super cool. I was bummed we didn’t see any whales on the way there, but we got to see a shark when we got there. 

When everyone else showed up it was nonstop fun. From parasailing to the top of Haleakala to jumping off cliffs to scuba diving to luaus to aquariums and a ton of yummy food!!! I’m sure I’m missing some things, but we had the best 10 days in Hawaii!!!!

Weekend with Andrea and Jason

Another successful weekend at Andrea and Jason‘s Lakehouse. Zoey got a fish, we played in the water, ate yummy ribs and other meat from Garan, even went to the garage and got ridiculous. Bloody Mary’s. Love this place!
